As the day fades away, the fireflies will play.

The moon and fireflies are all glow-in-the-dark, making this 48″ x 38″ x 48″ tent a must for any mini stargazer!

Our favorite way to catch a glimpse at fireflies and other critters is through our easy-to-make paper binoculars!

SUPPLIES:
  • 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of paper (at least two)
  • Empty toilet paper rolls
  • Parachute cording
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hole punch
  • Scissors

Take an 8.5 x 11″ sheet of paper and fold in half horizontally (hamburger style). Cut along the fold. Next, roll each sheet around a toilet paper roll and secure it by tucking the ends of the paper inside the roll.

Using a hot glue gun, adhere the two rolls together. From there, cut a 3 x 8.5″ strip of the same colored paper and wrap it around both of the rolls and secure with hot glue.

Using a hole punch, make one hole on both of the outer sides of the “binoculars.”

Cut a long strand of parachute cord, thread each end through a hole, and tie off with double knots.

The binoculars are now ready for viewing.

Here’s looking at you, kids!
