With the full moon just behind us and a total solar eclipse just days ahead of us, what better time to discover the reaches beyond Planet Earth?

With our Space Station Tent and Tunnel Combo, your child will enjoy outer space in style and comfort. In fact, this combo tent features four tunnel junctions extending off of the center hub, thus making it big enough to accommodate several junior astronauts in one orbit!

The long tunnels are easy to set up and feature real-life graphics that encourage play and imagination. Plus, tunnels are an excellent way to build gross motor skills, no matter which galaxy your child is exploring!

Since this combo tent can be used indoor or outdoors, it’s perfect for all kinds of “space weather!”

To enhance the outer space playtime experience, we created easy DIY telescopes from basic household and craft supplies. Here’s what you’ll need:

SUPPLIES

  • Paper towel roll
  • Cardstock
  • Lightweight glitter paper
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue or red tape
  • Pencil / crayon

Begin by drawing star shapes onto the cardstock and glitter paper.

Cut out the stars.

Take the cardstock and use it to cover the paper towel roll.

Secure the cardstock in place with adhesive and then glue on the cut-out stars to embellish the exterior of the telescope.

Finally, use the telescope to take a peek at stars and planets from the comfort of the Space Station.
