What’s colorful, see-through, and most importantly, a blast to crawl through? Our Peek-a-Boo I See You 6Ft Tunnel, of course! Today we are taking inspiration from our brightly hued tunnel and sharing a simple DIY drinking straw necklace that can be whipped up in just a few minutes using only three basic household supplies!

Whether you have an infant or a tween, our Peek-a-Boo I See You 6Ft Tunnel makes for the perfect outlet for kids of all ages to boost their physical strength and enjoy hours of imaginative play.

At 6′ x 19,” this tunnel is a fantastic size for both indoor and outdoor usage.

Younger children may feel especially encouraged to give this particular tunnel a whirl since it features mesh walls (hence the name “Peek-a-Boo”) to view the outside world and reassure them that Mom and Dad are never too far away.

Best of all, when the fun wraps up, these tunnels wipe clean with a damp cloth and collapse easily to maximize storage until the next play time begins.

The only thing better than crawling through our colorful tunnels is crawling through our tunnels while wearing a colorful necklace! Here’s how to create your own DIY drinking straw necklace:

SUPPLIES:

  • Drinking straws
  • Scissors
  • Twine

Take a handful of straws and cut them into smaller pieces to create the “beads” for your necklace. You can vary the length or keep it uniform; the choice is yours!

Start threading the straws onto a long strand of twine. If possible, leave the twine connected to the roll until you are ready to complete the necklace. This will make it easier to keep the straws in place during the threading process, especially for little fingers.

Continue threading until you are satisfied with the length. Finally, cut the twine and secure the necklace with a double knot.

Wear your DIY drinking straw necklaces with pride!
