Here’s a little more on the Geminid Meteor Shower, according to Space.com:

The Geminids are considered one of the best meteor showers every year because the individual meteors are bright, and they come fast and furious. In 2019, because of the nearly-full moon, the Geminids only produced about 20 to 30 may be visible per hour. Although it is best visible from the Northern Hemisphere, Geminid meteors can also be spotted from the Southern Hemisphere.

The Geminid meteor shower is nearly 200 years old, according to known records — the first recorded observation was in 1833 from a riverboat on the Mississippi River — and is still going strong. In fact, it’s growing stronger. That’s because Jupiter’s gravity has tugged the stream of particles from the shower’s source, the asteroid 3200 Phaethon, closer to Earth over the centuries.

More Bed Tent Fun

Bed tents are definitely a fun addition to any child’s room, but they are so much more than that. Bed tents are a great way to take storytime to the next level, to use as an educational tool, and for kiddos to simply have a cozy place of their own to look forward to.

Take Storytime to the Next Level

According to Parents Magazine, reading to your child before bed is not only a great way to bond, but it helps them so much with their mental development.

“Neural research shows that when parents and caregivers interact verbally with children—which includes reading to them—kids learn a great deal more than we ever thought possible,” says G. Reid Lyon, Ph.D., chief of the child development and behavior branch of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in Bethesda, MD. These gains range from improved logic skills to lower stress levels. But perhaps the most profound benefit discovered in recent years is the way bedtime stories can rewire children’s brains to quicken their mastery of language.

Bed tents bring storytime to the next level, allowing your little one’s imagination to wander while feeling nice and cozy with you.

An Educational Tool

With so many different bed tents, it’s easy to pick one that will suit your child’s interests and room theme. And, as parents, we are always looking for discreet ways to teach our children something without it feeling like they are learning. Bed tents are a great way to get the mind going before bed, so why not use them as a way to give them some more information?

A Simple Place of Their Own

Kids love having a place they can call their own. This is why kids love building forts and playing hide and seek. A bed tent will help kids feel like they are in their own private little world, without all the hassle of tearing apart your living room couch cushions.
