The weather outside may be frightful but making paper snowflakes sure is delightful! Today we are sharing how we “winterized” our Super Duper 4-Kid Dome Tent to celebrate the season!

With winter just a few weeks away, now is the perfect time for little ones to bundle up and hop in our Super Duper 4-Kid Dome Tent and “let it snow” in style and comfort!

This indoor / outdoor tent can withstand all kinds of play, thanks to it’s waterproof floor, “G-3” shock-corded fiberglass PU-coated pole system, a large front door and two tunnel ports. Plus, the full mesh top ensures that fresh air and sunlight filters in while parents can supervise playtime with a quick glance through the ceiling.

Not only is this giant tent an interactive place to explore but it’s oversized dimensions make it the perfect space for children to create a winter wonderland from paper snowflakes!

SUPPLIES:

Start by creating a guideline with emphasis on a center point to assist in creating a snowflake.

After doing so, follow up by tracing out the snowflake using our free printable template.

Once that’s finished, flip the template so that it mirrors the traced artwork preceding it, and continue to do so until the snowflake is complete.

Use the X-Acto knife to first cut out each of the interior lines from the template, then move on to the exterior lines to finish cutting out the snowflake.

*BONUS TIP* — Stack up a few sheets of paper below in the same size , then staple/tape them together along the edges to cut several at a time as oppose to just one.

Once the snowflakes are cut out, spray an even coat of adhesive over each one and then shake a generous amount of white glitter over the top until they are completely covered. Lightly tap the snowflake against a hard surface until the excess glitter falls off.

Once the snowflakes are complete, tack them up and enjoy your very own indoor winter wonderland! (No snowshoes required.)
