Today is your “lucky” day! Taking cues from the color palette of our red and black Fun Tube Mesh Tunnel, we created ladybug wings (much like the butterfly wings from a few months back!) that are sure to inspire your child’s imagination to soar!
At six feet in length, the Fun Tube Mesh Tunnel is the perfect length for young children (especially infants and toddlers!) to build their gross motor skills in a safe and stimulating environment.
The mesh walls ensure that both child and parent can keep a close eye on one another, plus it allows for plenty of light and air to flow through freely.
This all-mesh tunnel is ideal for letting small children gain a familiarity with tunnels and is great for strengthening core and neck muscles during tummy time!
Here’s what you’ll need to create your own ladybug wings:
SUPPLIES:
- Flat cardboard sheet (medium to large size)
- Pencil
- X-Acto knife
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Round pouncer
- 1 Yard of Ribbon (at least 1″ wide)
Draw the outline of ladybug with a pencil and then trim out with an X-Acto knife or scissors.
After the wings are cut out, begin painting.
Once the paint is dry, slice two 1″ vertical lines through the center of the wings. Take the ribbon and thread it from the back of the wings to the center and then tie off to create straps for the wings to stay on a child’s shoulders.
May your dreams take flight, little ladybugs!
