Our Magic Land Interchangeable Teepee is best paired with a childhood classic: a fairy wand! Luckily, we have found a quick and easy way to create these wands using basic supplies found at your local craft store.
SUPPLIES:
- Wooden dowel (1/4 – 1/2″ thick)
- 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon in various colors
- Rubber band
- Hot glue
- Pompoms
- Acrylic Paint
Begin by painting the wooden dowel in acrylic paint and allow to dry completely. From there, cut long strands of various colors of grosgrain ribbon and drape them over one end of the wooden dowel to allow both sides of the ribbon to fall equally on each side.
Once you have enough ribbon to create the wings of the fairy wand, use a rubber band to secure the ribbons in place.
With adult supervision, apply hot glue over the rubber band and begin applying pompoms all over until the top of the wooden dowel is completely covered.
A simple wave of the wand can transport your little ones to here, there, and everywhere!
