While Easter egg hunts are always a blast, sometimes you need an additional activity to keep the little bunnies entertained on Easter Sunday. Today we are taking inspiration from our Tick Tock Clock 12Ft Parachute and are turning number recognition into a physical activity that is sure to delight kids of all ages!

Whether it’s a holiday weekend or simply an after school playdate, our colorful Tick Tock Clock 12Ft Parachute is the perfect tool for building perceptual, cognitive, and motor skills. At 12 feet in diameter, this parachute is ideal for launching Easter eggs into the air for a fun Springtime activity!

Not only are the colors eye-catching, but each panel on the high quality polyester parachute is printed with the numbers 1-12 to encourage the understanding of time and numbers.

Parachutes are a fantastic way to facilitate group play in an easy-to-understand and interactive manner.

This particular parachute features 12 double-stitched, reinforced, webbed handles and plenty of room to grab onto the spaces in between so everyone can jump in and join in the fun!

To create your own numbered Easter eggs that correspond with the numbers on the parachute, here’s what you will need:

SUPPLIES:

  • Papier mache or plastic eggs (if you use plastic, be sure to secure the egg together so it does not come apart during play)
  • Acrylic paints
  • Paintbrushes
  • Egg carton
  • Brush marker
  • Number stencil

Begin by painting each of the eggs in various colors with a brush or simply by dipping each end into a cup of paint. Let dry.

Once the paint is dry, use a stencil to trace different numbers onto each of the eggs using a permanent brush pen.

Now you have 12 numbered eggs that are ready for number play with the parachute!

There’s no wrong way to pair the numbered eggs with parachute play but our favorite way is to place all the eggs in the center and then…

Launch the eggs into the air by quickly lifting the parachute! 1, 2, 3 cheers for Spring!
