It’s now October which means that the holiday season is officially underway. First up: Halloween!

Our Silver Lantern is a must-have this Halloween season for trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Featuring a silver sheen and long lasting LED Bulb that runs cool to the touch, this battery-powered lantern is ideal for a spooky night of running around the neighborhood.

Not only does the handle allow for easy transportation on Halloween night but it can also be hung in one of our imaginative play tents long after all the candy has been consumed!

Candy in one arm, lantern in the other…talk about multi-tasking!

Whether you like to wait until the last minute or you prefer to plan ahead, we have the perfect solution for simple Halloween attire that can be made with what you already have on hand: paper bag costumes!

SUPPLIES

  • Large paper bags
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors

Paint the entire outside of the bag with acrylic paint and let dry. Apply more coats if needed.

Once the pattern has been painted and everything is dry, flip the bag upside down. Take a sharp pair of scissors to poke small holes into the bottom of the bag and cut a large oval until you have created a hole that is big enough for a child’s head to fit through and sit comfortably on their shoulders. Next, cut out arm holes in the sides of the bag and consider your DIY Halloween costume complete!

Here are some examples of the types of costumes that can be made from paper bags:

Flower Garden (white paint for the base, other colorful paints for the flowers).

Pumpkin (orange paint for the base, black paint for the jack-o-lantern facial features).

Pirate (black paint for the base, red paint for the sash, white paint for the skull and cross bones).

With paper bag costumes on their backs and silver lanterns in their hands, these kids are ready for happy haunting!
