To make the Firefly Bed Tent even more fun (or to assuage the fears of little ones who may fear the dark), we’ve designed super simple DIY fireflies made of pipe cleaners and a glow stick! Here’s how you can make one:
Begin by folding a pipe cleaner in half over the glow stick and then twisting it a few times to secure it into place. Next, create “bunny ears” by folding each end of the pipe cleaners inwards towards the center of the glow stick and tuck the ends under each other. Repeat this process on one more pipe cleaner to create the wings. Finally, create an antenna by folding another pipe cleaner in half and around the top of the glow stick and then rolling each of the ends into tiny balls.
Ta-da!
