Star light, star bright, show us the constellations tonight! If you have a child who loves outer space as much as we do, look no further than today’s post for creating an easy and educational project centered around “shining a light” on the constellations in our night sky. This Flashlight Constellation DIY is perfect for any mini stargazer to enjoy in tandem with our Space Module Dome Tent at any time of the day or night!

With our Space Module Dome Tent, your child can enjoy interplanetary exploration in style and comfort. In fact, this dome tent is spacious enough to accommodate several junior astronauts in one orbit!

The two roll-up “hatches” and realistic “mission control” graphics are sure to spark the imagination of children of all ages!

Featuring a waterproof floor and G-3 Safety Coated Poles, this tent is a breeze to set up and clean up, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

To enhance the outer space experience, we created a simple DIY for projecting constellations from everyday flashlights! Here’s what you’ll need:

SUPPLIES:

Print out our free Constellation Patterns Printable and cut out each circle.

Punch out each of the dots on the constellations with a mini hole punch.

Trace around the circles and the punched holes on a sheet of blue construction paper.

Next, connect the dots with a white pen.

Cut out the circle from the blue construction paper and punch out the dots again.

Add adhesive to the back of the blue circles.

Place the blue circle over the center of a cupcake liner. Place the liner over the light on a flashlight and secure in place by tying on a strand of yellow string.

Finally, let those constellations shine!

No matter the time of day, these constellations are always in view!
